Hooked on Stacked
Stacked is a really unique restaurant in San Diego. It’s
located in the Fashion Valley Mall, but it’s in its own corner where there are
other restaurants such as a sushi place, P.F. Chang’s and Cheesecake Factory
and it’s easy to park and walk to so you don’t have to go through the entire
mall. What makes this place so cool is that you can “stack” or make your own
burger (they have everything from pretzel buns to salmon burgers), salad (for
you healthy people), pizza (really yummy), pasta dish, milkshake and my
personal favorite, ice cream cookie sandwich. The other catch is that you order
everything off an iPad. You basically stack what you want and then click “Send
to the Kitchen” and a server brings it out in no time. The atmosphere is really
fun and colorful; it almost looks like there is graffiti painted on the walls.
This place is perfect for grabbing dinner with your friends on Friday or
Saturday nights. I have two warnings: first of all, make sure you get a
reservation or a call ahead because this place will be packed on the weekends
starting at 6 pm. The other warning is watch what you stack because a lot of
times you get caught up stacking and you can end up with a fifteen-dollar pizza
and a seven-dollar milkshake. Other than that it’s not very pricey, but worth
every penny!
